About Us

Hi!
My name is Sandra Smith, I am the owner of Ginger Bloom Quilts and have been sewing throughout my adult life.
I started to piece quilt tops fifteen years ago.
After retiring from nursing, I decided to fully dedicate myself to my art. I began by repairing and restoring my old quilts.
In 2022, I purchased a Bernina Q20 and learned free motion, ruler work, and other exciting quilting techniques. I have since upgraded to a Bernina Q24 on a professional frame with QMatic and have been quilting every day since! I look forward to collaborating with you.

Services
Quilting is performed on a Bernina Q24 with QMatic on a pro frame. I can quilt sizes up to 120" wide
​

Edge-to-Edge Computerized Quilting: Standard size design at 0.025 cents per square inch.
- Custom designs, including ruler work, free motion, Trapunto, and micro-quilting, starting at 0.5 - .09 cents per square inch.
- Combination of edge to edge center with computerized border .03 cents per square incch
- Computerized borders, blocks, or sashing at 0.40 cents per square inch.
- There is a minimum charge of $75 for Edge-to-Edge and $125.00 custom.
I Do not supply batting at this time

Thread:There is no charge for thread. Currently, I use Glide Polyester Thread and Metler 100% Cotton Thread. If a specialty thread or specific color is required, please allow extra time for ordering.

Design fee applies if I don’t currently have the design in my file. I already have several options to choose from, including designs by Amanda Murphy and Tula Pink! Designs range from $15 and upward.

Additional Services​

If wide-back fabric is not provided, or batting needs sewn, there is a $15 per seam fee.

Trim and square quilt: small $20, medium $25, large $30.

Binding:

Prepare and attach the binding to the back, then machine sew it to the front for 0.25 cents per linear inch.

​Binding: Prepare and attach to the front of the quilt for hand sewing. (I do not perform the hand sewing) 0.15 cents per linear inch.
